Terrors of Terrorism........India Rocked by Terror yet Again

Once again India had been struck by the horrors of terrorism……..this time it’s none other than the country’s capital…..Delhi. After Mumbai, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Bangalore…………..its Delhi now. Once again the failure of the Indian Intelligence Agencies had come to the forefront. The Indian Mujahedeen had proudly proclaimed its responsibility behind conducting the serial blasts, in the name of Allah. The threatening e-mail was sent to the media, in Mumbai and was disclosed to the public on the day of the blasts. The Home Ministry had declared that the intensity of the blasts were low but that does not matter, when at least 20 people had died and at least a 100 innocent people had deceased as a consequence of the sudden explosion. The blasts took place in major areas of the state, namely, the 4 major markets like Connaught Place, Karol Bagh, Gaffar Market and Greater Kailash -1 besides some other areas like Barkhamba Road and Central Park. There were 5 blasts in total which took place in succession within a time span of 45 minutes.
Besides, 3 other live bombs were defused near areas like India Gate, Children’s Park and Regal Cinema Hall which could otherwise had resulted in severe mortality. Thanks to a kid boy named Rahul who had helped the police and the bomb squad by providing information regarding the location of one such bomb. Eye witnesses claimed to have seen the terrorists in black clothes around the blast areas but nothing had been proved yet. There were no suicide bombers this time but bombs were believed to have been placed in places like cycles and dust bins. The Central Government had already declared compensation worth Rs. 3 lakhs to the relatives of the bereaved. The State Government is also not far behind in this race for provision of reimbursement. It has announced Rs. 5 lakhs for the families of the death victims and had assured free treatment and Rs. 50,000 worth compensation money for the injured victims of the blast. But can monetary compensation ever substitute for the loss of our loved ones? Every time there is an explosion in the country, nothing is done but for allocation of monetary compensation and a futile investigation is conducted behind the possible reasons for the blasts, which ultimately bears no outcomes. Such is the miserable plight of our country. Except for one or two arrests nothing is done to eradicate terrorism from our nation,perpetually. It seems that we are living in the dark age always been gripped with the fear of the unexpectable. Everytime we or our loved ones leave the premises of our home, no one can guarantee a safe return. Anything can happen anywhere. All sub-continental countries including Sri Lanka and Pakistan are having to confront the same scenario. Blasts are a common occurence even there.
Following every blast that has occurred in the recent past, a certain jihad organization has been blamed like SIMI, Indian Mujahedeen, and Laskar-i- taiba but what has been done till date? The Intelligence and Police Forces of the country has brought about sheer disappointment in this regard. Let’s wait and watch what their future courses of actions are going to be in this respect and let’s just hope for the best. We actually have no other alternative besides pinning our faith on them because playing the blame-game like our politicians bear no fruits at all. The UPA and NDA have already started throwing mud on each other and the media making breaking news out of it. But the effective work that is required to be done is still not visible from the side of these esteemed politicians. They are merely competing with each other in visiting the injured blast victims at the various hospitals of the state just for gaining mere publicity in the upcoming elections. But their kiddish attitude is really disgusting for us! They are playing the game of politics in such turmoil without paying any heed to the traumatic state of affairs of the nation. Kudos to our party leaders!!However, leaders like Lal Krishna Advani, Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, and Mrs. Pratibha Patil had condemned the blasts and had expressed their deepest sympathies for the victims…….. a formal show of condolence from their parts!!
The Muslim terrorist organizations are arrogantly proclaiming their fatal deeds in the name of Allah. But which religion ever teaches its followers the path of violence and commands mass killing of fellow human beings? Be it Christianity, Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Zoroastrianism or Islam none allows its followers to kill and cause massacre in the lives of innocent people. It is the people who are bending the laws of the religion and the so-called opportunist religious leaders making their own versions and displaying before the people. The naïve followers are thus misguided in God’s name and fall prey to the misinterpretations of their own religious laws. They are actually the victims in true sense. May be hypnotized by the religious leaders. I wish the government did its part in promoting mass education so that these people (mainly the backward classes) could at least use their own senses in deciphering the meanings of the words actually written in their religious books and refrain from violence in the name of God. At least they would never have been misinformed about their original religious principles and teachings, thereby not insulting the holy name of the “Lord”. Buddha, Mahavira, Jesus Christ and even Prophet Mohammed have always treaded the path leading to Universal Brotherhood and Non-violence.
In the modern era when we are speaking about the world as a global village and we are trying to bring about universal brotherhood by eradicating social evils like apartheid and caste-system, killing in the name of God sounds psychopathic! The Muslim Community is not the only one to be blamed because vicious people exist in almost all religions and they perform the same actions but it is only a particular community that gets maximum media attention due to a few notorious people like Dawood Ibrahim, Osama Bin Laden, and Abu Salem etc. who have been creating havoc in our lives since decades and top the most wanted list of International Intelligence Bureaus like Interpol and Scotland Yard. The whole community cannot be blamed for the misdeeds of a handful, who simply form the rotten faction in a basket of fresh apples. And this is the same scenario that we encounter in almost all religions.
If an Osama Bin Laden is to be blamed for mass annihilation across the globe, then a certain George Bush should be equally blamed for the creation of future Ladens across the world. He too had caused mass carnage in Israel where thousands of people were affected. Being a Super Power nation they did whatever they wished to, although a few countries had relentlessly criticized their atrocious attitude in causing bloodbath and slaughter in the lives of the Israelites. America is solely responsible for the holocaust in the lives of the Plaestinian Israelis. They are the only one to be blamed for the mass genocide.Bush is no less than a modern day Hitler. That's what I believe.
If the world goes on this way, doomsday is not far away and it would be brought about by sheer irresponsible and lunatic, war-crazy attitude of a section of the world population. No Large Hardron Collider can cause devastation and obliteration like a single World War or a lethal bomb explosion! The World Wars I and II, the deadly explosions in Hiroshima-Nagasaki or the recent 9/11 in the States bears evidence to the fact. Extinction of a race does not come in one day but is gradually brought about by factors like these. Doomsday is not distant, as it has been predicted by the media recently, (making a hype out of it!) but it would never occur out of the blue as has been forecasted by some wise people (who prophesied that the LHC is the sole responsible attribute in this respect!).
People who demise following the mass assassinations are a mother, a daughter, a son, a father, a husband, a sister, a wife or a brother of some innocent being in the world. So let’s not forget that because loss of a loved one is agonizing for everyone. Even a heartless and cold criminal would never want to lose the person he/she loves the most. Even the suicide bombers who perish in the name of religion, cause misery to themselves but a 1000 times more to their loved ones.
The global population has to come together in order to fight terrorism and make the world a better place for our successors. We want our future generations to live in a world free of terror and insecurity. We want peace. We request the world leaders to collaborate on this issue and appreciate the need for mutual cooperation and non-violence in all corners of the universe. Gandhi was the man who showed the world the route to peaceful agitation and the enormous power of a weapon called “non-violence”. So let’s join the revolution "War Against Terrorism" and show some Gandhigiri to bring about absolute extermination of terrorism from the world. Let peace rule all over so that wars and weapons lose their significance in the years to come, eternally. Let’s follow the motto of the Beijing Olympics 2008 and envision “One world. One dream” because we are the future.
